The Australian Government has funded a website called EndoZone. It provides a tool for the public to check if their symptoms might suggest endometriosis. This can be a valuable starting point for discussions with your doctor or gynaecologist. Click on the link below to access the tool.
I would like to help you if you have symptoms of endometriosis. Laparoscopy (keyhole surgery) is the best way to confirm if you have endometriosis. During the same surgery, we would also be able to treat the endometriosis either by removing or burning them, which is an added benefit. Some variations of endometriosis such as endometrioma, adenomyosis or deep-infiltrating-endometriosis can also be diagnosed with advanced ultrasound techniques. Non-surgical treatment options for endometriosis can be considered. In some cases, a multi-pronged, multi-disciplinary approach involving other specialists may be required.
